It’s okay, I promise.
I can remember in my kids' elementary school, I didn't feel like I "fit in" with the other moms. They would ignore me, not make eye contact, laugh in small groups, super artificial and surface talk - very "high-school clicky behavior."
(Not all... a few were real & wholeheartedly kind💕)
I thought it was me, then one day my husband said, "Aubrey, you are authentically YOU in every corner of your life, most people change with the way the wind blows and aren't so sure how to be with themselves."
In that moment, I realized that "flaw" I thought I had of not fitting in- it was really God reminding me I had FREEDOM. ✨️
Freedom in staying true to myself.
It's okay to not be a part of all groups and all things. I'm not for everyone, and everyone is not for me.
It's also okay to have acquaintances.
Not everyone needs to be in your circle or you in theirs. What IS important is to recognize & have awareness of how we act, feel, and speak because it rubs off on our children and they model that behavior too.
I remind my kids to always stay true to themselves & find freedom in being themselves, too. 🌊🌱🌊
Let your thoughts and words touch your heart before they reach your lips or finger tips.
You only need “1” great friend in this life who accepts every single part of you. Your flaws, your energy, your greatness, and your darkest hours. Someone you can trust and be a great friend back. No whispers behind your back and stand up for you, especially when you're not present. Loyalty & honesty in all parts of your relationship. 💕 I'm so blessed to have that.
Lean into them.
BUT!!! 👉 Remember, in order for anyone to have a true authentic, real relationships with others. YOU NEED TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE FROM THE DEPTHS OF YOUR SOUL & HAVE A LOVING SISTERHOOD WITHIN YOURSELF ✨️✨️✨️
My GREATEST FREEDOM came from when I stopped giving a shit what other people thought and started believing in myself fully. ♥️
I am worthy and so are you!
xo, Aubrey
